D.A.A.R.A. Speedster Guidelines

“The primary objective of the sport of Vintage and Historic Automobile Racing is to promote the preservation of these cars in a racing format, which emphasizes driver safety and etiquette. The sport is intended to provide a format for friendly wheel-to-wheel competition with vehicles prepared faithfully to their era. All racing is dangerous and only the proper attitude of the driver and the careful preparation of the cars will diminish the danger and enhance our appreciation of the sport.”

What you need to do to start racing?

The car owner as well as the driver must be 18 years old and a member of D.A.A.R.A. and hold a valid drivers license. A driver’s school will be held at the U.S. Vintage Oval Track Nationals. New drivers will be required to successfully complete this session which will cover things like understanding the flags (what each means), drivers etiquette, general track and pit procedures.

What is a Speedster?
