JIM KASERMAN SENT THIS PICTURE OF: Sarah Jane singing with the Nashville Music City Brass at the Southwest Florida Fair on stage Monday night..They were preparing to play a medley of Louie
Armstrong songs when they asked who liked the famous trumpeter-singer..Jane was enthusiastic so they asked if she would be willing to come on stage and
sing along with them..Well, her new attitude that, "life truly begins at 70" took a turn none of us expected. .She went up on stage and stood with the
trumpet player and when he asked her to sing with him, the sweet woman we all know for her tenor or alto voice, cut loose with an unbelieveable BASE Louis
Armstrong imitation that shocked everyone, especially the band. .In nearly fifty years I have known her, I have never heard that voice [she claims I
probably never will again] but; she was truly "into it" and the crowd loved it as the band really got behind her and the enthusiasm..she was on stage for
the entire tribute to Louie! She really was good and deserved the applause from a crowd that grew all during her performance..The band gave her a
promotional CD of their work for her effort and invited her to come back for their next show date.

Legendary Northeast Hall of Fame driver Gene Bergin passed away this past weekend after a long hospital stay since last June..Gene was the first to drive the
ground breaking Bob Judkins modified 2X Pinto to a win at Stafford Springs Speedway, that ushered in the now famous “Pinto revolution”, that put the old
coupes into the history books and changed the course of the Modified division forever..DAARA driver Tobi Smith was lucky enough to be photographed in a
reenactment photo, along with a photo op with the DAARA 2X and with Diane Larivee, 4 months before he was permanently hospitalized..Larry Larivee captured
the moment at the 2010 Modified Reunion last February at New Smyrna Speedway..Probably one of the last photos taken of Gene out and about with his friends
